Refund policy

Every club we sell is a single used item, sourced in Japan and shipped from Japan. That shapes this policy, so it is worth reading before you order.

The short version

  • Something arrived that doesn't match the listing 窶 we pay, including the return shipping.
  • You changed your mind 窶 you can still return it within 30 days, but the return shipping is yours.
  • Nothing here limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.

30-Day Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery, measured by the carrier's tracking timestamp. To be eligible, the club must be in the same condition you received it, unused, in its original or equivalent protective packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

How to Start a Return

Email onoue@thecaddieschoice.com with your order number 窶 it looks like #1001 and is on your confirmation email 窶 and the reason for the return.

If the return is accepted we will reply with a return authorisation and the address to send it to. Please ship it back within 7 days of that email.

Please don't send a club back before asking. We don't operate a warehouse, so an unannounced parcel has nowhere to go and we cannot accept it.

We do not refund the original outbound shipping. Import duties we paid on the original Delivered Duty Paid shipment are not refundable either 窶 they have already been remitted to your country's customs authority and we cannot get them back.

If the Club Doesn't Match the Listing

The condition grade and the photographs on a listing come from the Japanese shop we sourced the club from. If what arrives doesn't match them, that is on us.

Email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the problem. If we agree, you choose: a full refund with the club returned at our cost, or a partial refund if you would rather keep it.

We don't work from a fixed schedule of percentages. A mark that matters on one club doesn't on another, so we would rather look at the actual club than apply a table.

Authenticity

We do not authenticate clubs ourselves, and we are not going to claim otherwise. What we can do is stand behind the sale.

If you obtain written confirmation from the manufacturer that a club we sold is not genuine, we will refund the purchase price in full and pay the return shipping.

This is not limited to the 30-day window. It applies for 180 days from delivery.

If We Can't Source Your Club

Every club here is bought after you order it. Occasionally one sells to a buyer in Japan before we get there.

If that happens you will receive a full refund within 48 hours, plus a $20 USD credit toward a future purchase. You will not be left waiting to find out.

What We Can't Take Back

  • Clubs damaged after delivery 窶 impact damage from use, for example
  • Clubs returned without a return authorisation
  • Clubs returned more than 30 days after delivery, except under the authenticity clause above
  • Clubs shipped back with packaging so light that they arrive damaged
  • Gift cards

Refunds

We will let you know once we have received the return and whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take a further 3窶10 business days to post it.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund and you still have not seen it, email us and we will chase it.

Your Local Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in. Where local law gives you a longer window or a stronger remedy than this policy does, the local law applies.
