Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging), and accompanied by proof of purchase.

How to Start a Return

To start a return, contact us at returns@thecaddieschoice.com with your order number and reason for return. If your return is accepted, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and provide instructions on how and where to send your package.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Returns must be shipped back within 7 days of RMA issuance.

30-Day Return Window (Provisional)

You may initiate a return for any reason within 30 days of delivery confirmation (per carrier tracking timestamp). Returns must be:

  1. Initiated via email to returns@thecaddieschoice.com with the order number and reason for return
  2. Approved by The Caddie's Choice with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number
  3. Shipped back within 7 days of RMA issuance, in the original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging)
  4. Inspected upon return — the head must be in the same condition as shipped (per our 12-photo dossier)

Note: This 30-day policy is provisional and may be revised based on operational experience. Any revision will take effect prospectively only and will not apply to orders placed before the revision date. Customers will be notified of any change via email and the updated Refund Policy page.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged in transit, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Counterfeit Guarantee — Full Refund + Return Shipping

If a third-party authenticator (acceptable: original equipment manufacturer customer service, a tour van technician, or a recognized golf authenticator such as TXG, MyGolfSpy, or a PGA-certified club fitter) confirms in writing that a head sold by The Caddie's Choice is counterfeit, you will receive:

  • 100% refund of the purchase price
  • Reimbursement of return shipping (up to $100 USD)
  • Reimbursement of the third-party authentication fee (up to $150 USD with receipt)

The 30-day window does not apply to counterfeit claims; this guarantee is valid for 180 days from delivery.

Grading Dispute Process

If you believe a head you received does not match its disclosed grade (A+, A, B+, B, or C) per our published Grading Standards, the following process applies:

Step 1 — Document the Discrepancy (Within 7 Days of Delivery)

  • Photograph the head from the same angles as the original 12-photo dossier
  • Document specific cosmetic issues not disclosed in the original photos
  • Email inspection@thecaddieschoice.com with the order number, your photos, and a brief description

Step 2 — Review (5–7 Business Days)

The Caddie's Choice's inspection team will compare your photos against our original dossier. Possible outcomes:

Finding Resolution
Discrepancy confirmed (cosmetic damage in transit) Replacement (if available) or full refund + return shipping reimbursement
Discrepancy confirmed (our grading error) Partial refund (re-grading credit per table below) or full refund + return shipping reimbursement
Discrepancy not confirmed (head matches dossier) No refund issued. Customer may still return under 30-Day Window at customer's expense.

Step 3 — Re-Grading Credit Table (Partial Refund)

If we agree we mis-graded the head:

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

  • Products marked "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
  • Products damaged by the customer after delivery (e.g., impact damage from use)
  • Products returned more than 30 days after delivery (except under the Counterfeit Guarantee)
  • Products returned without an approved RMA number
  • Products shipped back with insufficient protective packaging that incurs additional damage in transit

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Return Shipping and Duties

If your return is the result of our error (mis-grading, counterfeit, or transit damage), The Caddie's Choice covers the return shipping cost up to $100 USD. Any duties or fees levied by Japanese customs on the return shipment are our responsibility in this case.

For voluntary returns within the 30-day window (no defect on our side), the customer is responsible for return shipping. We do not refund the original outbound shipping cost. Duties we paid on the original Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipment are not refundable as they have already been remitted to US Customs and Border Protection.

Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days of inspection of the returned product
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Bank processing time may add 3–10 additional business days
